Solutions for Effective Carpet Cleaning!

The most effective method of carpet cleaning is hot water extraction. Many would say "steam" cleaning. This is a misnomer as you're not actually using steam to clean your carpet. In fact, in most cases if you do use steam you will be voiding your carpet warranty.

 

Hot water extraction uses a pump to force heated water deep into carpet fibers. Good extraction detergents work quickly to emulsify carpet soils so they can be rinsed out on the vacuum pass.

 

Of course no one method will suit every circumstance. Sometimes you need to surface clean the carpet so it can be ready for traffic within a very short time. The best method for this situation is carpet bonnet cleaning or damp mopping.

 

Heavily soiled carpets may need to be shampooed and then extraction cleaned. This is known in the industry as salvage cleaning.
